The most recent edition of the Ambiente Frankfurt 2018 trade show, which took place from February 9 to 13, served as a showcase for the latest innovations in homeware, home décor, gifts, and furniture. It welcomed more than 140,000 visitors and exhibitors from 154 countries.

The Frankfurt trade fair (Messe Frankfurt) is one of the largest trade fair events in the world. First documented on July 11, 1240, as the first fall trade fair, it is one of the most traditional and historic in Europe, although merchants had already been holding it long before that. A few years later, the spring fair was also established, creating two annual trade fairs.
